Kaloor Coffee Shop is owned by the BTH group. The same people behind ‘Sarovaram’ . The place opened shop long ago and the ambience is the testimony. The place that serves veg (dosas, vada,etc ) along with good tea and coffee. Its a Small place with a seating capacity of almost 20. The perfect family place. Because it is usually never crowded . But the place is good for a gang of friends who wouldn’t like to spend too much of time over coffee and food. Because there are no couch ,just chairs and tables.It is self service.

Near to International stadium, Kaloor, Opposite to TVS motors.

3/5 . The ambience of the place is not that good . And the service is just average. But if you are in search of a small and calm veg hangout do check in

And the Pricing?

A bit costly,obvious ( it is BTH owned ) but not that expensive if you are hanging out with your family .

Ever expanding Cochin/Kochi

Thanx to all the Gallans out there,kochigallan(the mosquito) is surviving in kochi, breathing its air and growing with it. This Gallan is proud to be yet another Kochi’te.our Kochi is undgoingt a lot of changes(some bad too),.Yup we are expanding. Our city is no more concentrated over the sea-side/port areas. Places of business is spreading more towards its outer areas(like virus).Suburbs like Vytilla, Edappally and Kadavanthra,are catching up. Check out some of the happenings at these places(only the happier side is written,so go ahead its safe to read )

1) Vytilla

Undoubtedly the most happening place in the city. The Vytilla junction is considered to be the biggest junction in the state itself.This facet is clear from the number of vehicles and crowd passing by this place. Many investors have applied the right logic to select this place for investment.After all its the meeting point from kottayam and Alappuzha . The Gold Souk Grand’e is already up and running.Very soon itll be fully functional.The first major competition to O mall. Forum Mall is almost ready to show up its face in Kerala too (in Vytilla). Not just these many more malls and shopping hubs in the list.

Hotels like BTH Sarovaram, White Fort and Mermaid also adds to its charisma. Presence of numerous apartments and flats ,Connectivity to the city and other places like Kalamassery & Aluva (even to other districts)makes this an excellent part of the city. No wonder big shots Vytilla .

2)Edappally

This Gallan would say there ain’t much difference between Edappally and Vytilla. Both are experiencing the same kind of development. Take the case of malls. The Oberon is well situated at Edappally on the NH-47.Right now O mall is the most happening mall of Cochin with max number of walkins. Edappally is also almost set to house the biggest mall of south India, The Lulu Shopping Mall.But this gallan can’t even imagine how traffic to city will be(from Edappally) .how will you describe a pace slower than that of a snail .Connectivity matters. Flats/ apartments are rising in plenty here.

3)Kalamassery

Because of the Cochin University, medical college and Seaport-Airport road connectivity, investors have looked upon this place with great interests. Two more huge projects, the Smart City, Kakkanad (if at all it is to..:D ) and the new-generation Industrial Estate and Kalamassery will grow like anything. But then again Kalamassery’s growth depend on those two projects, which we can can only pray would happen.

4)Kaloor

The Gokulam Park Inn, Hotel Park Central, PVS Memorial hospital, private bus stand, Ekm-North Railway station, NUALS college, various schools and proposed sites for new malls.The only thing this gallan would like to see expanded at kaloor is the roads

5)Kadavanthra

Yet another place of strategic importance to the city. The Panampilly Nagar adds charm with its coffee-shops, lifestyle showrooms, business hotels and eat-out joints .The only place where Kadavanthra can grow is upward.Yup vertical expansion .Kadavanthra is very well connected to almost all parts of the city.

6)Maradu

-Lakeshore Hospital

-hotel Le-Meridian

-numerous car showrooms

-large number of flats/apartments

-Malls (under construction)

Who wants ant more?

7)Palarivattom

Palarivattom is inevitably part of the expansion already.Nothing proves this face than the traffic.It takes hours to pass this place.Most of the commuetrs might be cursing palarivattom but for the ‘money focussed’.its a treasure.Domino’s just opened shop here,so did baskin robbins.This gallan didnt hear any mall coming up here.But if a mall comes up it will rock for sure.

Most of the up-coming areas are NH-47 oriented(eyeing connectivity , the NH offers).This Gallan tried to review as much as possible. But the list is not complete. Like, Heard that a multi specialty cancer hospital is being built at Kolencherry, outer Ernakulam. So people, if you feel that there are other places, please jot them down. Rumale coffee shop at Biorythm Cochin/Kochi

A concept of the ‘Lifeline Venture’, the Biorythm-Rumale duo is situated 300 metres from Kaloor junction in the Kaloor-Kadavanthra road.The place is on the third floor of the Chammany buliding, that houses a Varkeys Supermarket in its ground floor.

A good concept. An eating place along with a health gym is something isnt that kool?

Biorythm is one of its kind that provides monthly check-up to its clients, other than the normal work out sessions, so that one can keep track of HIS/HER health and its improvements and the fee comes to around 2k plus. Very next to it, in the same floor, is the Rumale eat-out. Very hygenic.

Rumale

Rumale is a cute and cozy eat out place with its interiors beautifully designed with red n white colours.Awesome ambience and great hospitality.They provide with delicious food, shakes ,pastries fresh juices etc. You can’t spot it from roadside(reason why the cafe is not yet popular with non-gymmers) but inside its catchy .An awesome choice for this recession times because you can sip a cup of coffee for just 20rs . And anyone looking for a company, just cal me, this Gallan..always free to help ya..
