‘Mazhakkalam’ a 10 day national camp organized by the Lalithakala Akademi is on at David Hall,Fort Kochi.
The Camp will also Screen Classic films by noted directors Roberto Rossellini,Pedro Almodovar,JeanLuc Godard,Bernardo Bertolucci from 6pm.

How to get here:
The easiest and most simple way rather than having to ask so many people for directions is to take a bus which says fort kochi and get down at the last stop and trust me you will definitely find your way to the beach from there onwards.
This is one place where parents are scared to send their children alone to. Situated off the Arabian Sea, not a lot of people might think of fort kochi beach as a great hangout spot. Due to the constant fear of drunkards, drug addicts and not to mention the stench of raw fish all over the place.
But there are two sides to every story! This is one place where you can forget all your worries and chill as you watch the waves. Lately cause of the huge tourist pour in, pathways have been built so that people can enjoy their morning/evening walk along with the serene sea breeze. Once you reach past these pathways there is this beautiful but small stretch of water where you can just soak your feet ( this is the only part of the beach where you can do that cause its sea-weed free) or bask in the sun. (I’m @ a loss of words from this point on )
Must see:
The Sunset at 6 is one marvelous sight which gives you that tingly feeling all over. It looks like the sun is going into the sea. So that makes this the perfect time to ask your girlfriend to marry you!
Meet a fortune teller and let him forecast your future or shed a few rupees and get a fine entertainment from an acrobat or snake-charmer.
Next time you want to take a breather from the bustling city life or just spend some loner time, an ideal location for relaxing and rejuvenating your spirits, as you will have plenty of peace and solitude for yourself in this place.

Ende Ammo!!! Yes the truth has to be disclosed and it becomes a necessary when its about me. It is not just another story to tell but a story that each one of us should learn from. (Or atleast laugh out loud about)� Post the diwali dance dhamaka clubbin session I went off with my friends. They decided to take me off to vypeen but I insisted on going to Fort Kochi (may be bcoz of the �Kochi� factor!!! Oh god am such a narcissist).
So they took me to Fort Kochi and to be honest though I was a total teetotaler I was high on excitement for being with this group of young Gallans. They were singing and I was humming..sorry buzzing. So finally, as we should have, we reached Fort Kochi. Should say it�s a calm place at 2:00 am in the morning. (Ok I know I am a bit early but then who cares it�s my Kochi) so as I said 2:00 am and I was standing there watching the Chinese nets being pulled up by some fisher men.
All of a sudden I saw a vehicle come by. Yes it was our very own police (the true mallu cops). I was scared and I could hear my wings shivering (I know I am exaggerating a bit but I was indeed scared). The usual questions were asked and the usual unusual answers were given. We were thrown into the police jeep. Well the police guy was a good chap, thought we would have been trashed for being there at this eerie time frame, coz he didn�t even talked rudely.
We were taken to the station. Yes the police station and I was taken for a alcohol test. It�s really not an easy job to prove that you aren�t drunk. Well what really took me by surprise was the interaction we had with the SI at the station. He was not only telling us, where we went wrong but he also told us what we shouldn�t do as responsible citizens. I told him who I am and he smiled (am I funny or am I so cute. well I will conduct a survey on that soon). But it was kinda koool!!!!! to be interacting with the police and trust me unlike the bad cops in the movies(well most of them) this people were true examples of perfection with a sense of humanity. I learnt about what to and what not to do!!!! We left the station after completing the formalities and walked out of the station� I know it is not the right place to be in but couldn�t have missed on being there. Thanks to these young guys who gave me the experience of the visit to the police station. But well as it would be said in the history of the �GALLAN SAGA� �that is �Kochi Gallan�ey Police Piddichu�
