When we find something fun or feel the fun in doing it, we go back to do it again and again and again… Whether it is an adult or a kid, we would like to revisit the feeling. This very conscience is the basis of a book reading event that is being organised for kids. It is a book reading and storytelling event for children organised by The Readers’ Web and Kahawa at the Kahawa Bistro near Atlantis , opposite Cochin shipyard.

The more the children read, the organisers believe, the better they become at reading. When the things they read are enjoyable there is no reason why they have to stop doing the same because its ‘fun’. The organizers also stresses that when the children are read to the interest in them to master reading increases and reading out loud will help them get exposed to proper grammar and phrasing. Reading, by way of books, magazines or websites, exposes kids to new vocabulary. Even when they don’t understand a new word, they absorb something from the context and this will deepen their understanding of it the next time the word is encountered.

The registration for the event is free but it has to be done prior to the event as there is a limit to the number of children who can attend. The age limit for children to attend the event is 6-12 years.

So what are you waiting for!!! There is no harm in having fun and there is absolutely no harm in having that while reading.

The coffee shop by the waters, thats what barista is! Located at the Bay Pride Mall facing Marine Drive, it is the perfect place for a hangout and extremely good coffee. they have munchies for all kind of people. Even though the prices are a little high, the food, ambience and excellent customer service pays up to it. the barista has wi-fi even though they charge you for it. they provide you with board games like checkers, ludo, chess, etc. they have world class cappucino priced at Rs.40 and chocolate cakes are a speciality. you may even try your own recipe, the staff will help u with it. you can stay there for how much ever time you want waiting for your late-coming beloved, or blasting out with your huge gang of friends or alone staring into the waters..!!

“The Gateway Hotel(a.k.a Hotel Taj) finally offers something that�s quite impressive with its quality & pricing.It�s like they have strike the right balance with this new �Deli� outlet.Impressive yet simple interiors and seating with a classy ambience the brand can offer,the place is worth all the drools. I visited the place with my friend and was surprised to see the billing,compared to the things we ordered.Though the pastries are like puny in size,the food they serve has its standards.If you want to hangout with friends,there are of course better options in town. Kochi loves to hangout at Coffee Cube

“Now,I simply love #coffee and I also love to hangout with friends as much as I love to find new places & hot spots in the city. And all my likes just got promoted to find out this awesome place at convent junction,The Coffee Cube.

Now I really am out of words on where to start since this is like the first time I am finding a place with everything so balanced and nearly perfect. OK !,lets talk about what they serve first. The Menu seems to be having everything, that very fresh & new feel which makes us drool with confusion in where to begin.Smoothies,cocktails,deserts,�. there were too much a option for me to remember. And these things taste as good as it looks,trust me on that.

Now the ambiance,one word..�WOW !�.I must say,their expertise as interior people does comes in handy really here. The place is beautifully done be that the wallpapers, couches be even the window shields. LCD monitors with Xbox adds makes it more live and now they even have Live music 4 days a week if I am not mistaken. All in all,like I said you wouldn�t find a place made so beautiful nearly to perfection in the city.

coffee @ minus24 anyone??

One of my favourite hangout point in Aluva is undoubtedly Gopu’s tea shop.But you cant possibly take a girl for cup of cofee there.

So the gallan goes out to find a place to woo a woman. MINUS 24 is the location for you. With the ambiance that would keep you at peace and the temperature closer to comfort this is indeed a perfect place.They usually play soft music.But when we talk too loud they turn the volume level up.Minus 24 is also at Convent junction Ernakulam.Perfect spot for couples minus the PDA(public display of affection).(talking about romance Im still single……girls are you listening?).I still don’t know why the name minus 24….May be the temperature??? May be the age factor???

LOCATION:At the town itself .You can easily spot MINUS 24 as soon as you enter the Aluva private bus stand road.

PRICE TAG.
100 bucks is more than enough for two.Well this Gallan ordered coffee and spent more than an hour there(They did’nt kick us out).Awesome place for birthday parties and other such informal meetings.So a PLUS point for the MINUS 24.
