The GO GREEN Painting  Competition in connection with WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY, by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Kochi, got an amazing response from kids in the city. Sharing the results here.

A whooping 176 students participated for the evnt, when there were 3 other competitions happening in the city on the same day! There were students belonging to 1st upto 10th standards. They were categorised  into three groups – Sub Junior group(1st to 4th standards), Junior group(5th to 7th standards) and Senior group(8th to 10th). Prizes were given to the students whose paintings came 1st, 2nd, 3rd, apart from the 5 Consolation Prizes in each category. Renowned Artist Kaladharan Master was the Chief Guest and Jc John Paul was the Guest of Honour.

There was also a Drawing Demonstration and  class conducted for the students on the same day. Kaladharan Master took class on Drawing tips for about 45 minutes.  Also, a 90 minute Environment and Energy Conservation class was given to the parents who accompanied their kids . The class was taken by Sri Jayaraman who won the State Award for outstanding contribution to Environment protection and Energy Conservation activities last year.
