Bored of consuming what the foriegners make for us? Ever wanted to know how the ‘home made’ products are actually made at home? Then the Swadeshi Workshop in Kochi is just meant for you.

The 13th Annual Swadeshi Workshop will be held at Ernakulam Gandhi Bhavan at Kacherippady, from 3rd June 2011 to 12th June 2011. The workshop is aimed to provide the right training for localites to develop their own products at home. It had received a huge response last year and the organizers are expecting a much better response this time.

The Gandhi Centre for Rural Development together with the Ernakulam Gandhi Bhavan Committee and Poornodaya Book Trust has come up with this initiative inorder to train the people on how to make various daily use products like jewellery & soap, with easily available raw materials at home. There will also be an exhibition of the products and a seminar on relevance of swadeshi products as part of the workshop.
