Picture this. Time line: Year 2056. No sign of human being on the earth and    even worse, the beautiful planet that we picture our earth to be looks like a dumping ground. Not just the human race but even the animals and plants and are just a thing of the past. Well some tragedy happened and the earth came to an end. Now this surely sounds like the take one from some Spielberg movie. KNOCK KNOCK well this may be a part of KochiGallans fictional imagination but the day isn’t far when you will face this trauma. We are not just creating problems for ourselves but at the same time driving our beloved planet and our future to a stage of extinction. Its time for each one of us to rethink. I know many initiatives have been taken in the past with an aim to go green and keep clean. But I must say I am sad that nothing much worked out.

I got a mail from one of the Kochi Gallans and to quote that mail “Student Net of Toc H Institute of Science and Technology is organizing a massive awareness program “*EARTH NEEDS YOU*” in *Durbar Hall Ground* on the 24thof October. As you know Global Warming is a burning issue all over the world today and we are trying to make everyone understand that Global Warming is no *MYTH*, its Real and its *Happening*. We are also trying to say that we all can play a part in helping to counter Global Warming. What we need to understand is the number *350*(PPM). This, is what scientist say, is the amount of *CO2 *(measured in ppm) maintained in the Earth’s atmosphere to prevent Global Warming ans the resulting runaway climate change. So friends, help us spread the word. Change your Orkut, Facebook display pics to any of the above pics. Blog, update status, put photos in your albums regarding Global Warming and 350 everyday, do everything you can, Lets spread Awareness. Spread the doc file attached to this which gives a list of the actions that *YOU*, as an individual, can do.Join us and make it the biggest event Kochi city has seen. Lets run, Lets cycle, Lets Paint, Lets Dance, Lets find Solutions… LETS ACT before the time is past...Join us in the REVOLUTION”

Do I need say more about what we have to do. If you think you love your city. If you think you are just another kochitie who will do anything to make difference then this is just the right thing!!!! KochiGallan is in… HOPE TO SEE ALL OF YOU JOINING IN
