The future is now! Vytilla Mobility Hub goes 24 X 7!!

Think about a bus stand in the state, whats the first thought that comes into your mind? the filth? large potholes? frenzy of busy people and roaring engines? all that has changed at Kochi. A true Gallan already knows why we have moved on to the future while the rest can wait.! yes! we are over flowing with pride! Its all cause of our clean and serene “Bus Stand” or should we call it the futuristic “Mobility Hub!!”.

The place sure looks spectacular in broad day light, but once the place illuminates in the night , you would rather have a feeling that you just landed in the future! Mobilty hub is already a gem in the city, there are some awesome features about the place that would make you feel good about Kochi, and we all like the “feel good” don’t we?

The first sight and you are awestruck by those magnificent waiting stands, we all know the rainbow bridge at Marine drive is a symbol of Kochi, but an array of waiting stands with the rainbow bridge design? Yes and to compliment that the floors are all granite and vitrified tiled unlike the rough concrete and tar used till date. Most of the tourism projects and public service stations in our state has had the ill condition of bad maintenance and many of them have faded into the past. That’s were the place is even more interesting, there is a Mobilty Hub society which meets every week to asses the working and make improvements on everything concerned with the place. Another specialty is that there are trained people to maintain the place clean round clock, and its not the ordinary cleaning of public places, the work force was trained by the house keeping depts. of Taj Malabar and Le Meridian and amazingly they make sure no dirt remains for 15 mins at the Hub.! yes even cleaner than your home, a bus stand in our state! unbelievable!

Shocked?  the list of specialties doesn’t end there, at the VMH, you do not go to the bus , the bus comes to you! wow sounds like a tag line for a logistic company but to put it simply, wait wherever you want to at the Hub your bus would come to you. The “Rest Rooms” a.k.a “Toilets”, at the place are also extremely well kept and tidy. The technology being used at the VMH is amazing, when you consider the fact the RFID (radio frequency identification) systems will be used to monitor all the buses plying through the hub.

The place is still in its developing stage and there are even better things to look up in the future. A food court is coming up at the place, the rent for the food court itself amounts to 4 lacs, thats how huge this place already is. There are also plan to set up a queue system for boarding buses at the place. An electronic screen to display all the details like that you see at the airport , round the clock security wing and pre-paid auto service will come into action in 2 weeks time.

Here is a Gallan idea for you, whenever you have friends and relatives from outside Kochi visit you, show them this piece of art at Vytilla and harass them for the sorry state of their bus stand. Feel proud , we have an “AIRPORT” of a bus stand at the Vytilla Mobility Hub!
