The Brindhavan Veg Restaurant at Palarivattom
If its for a neat and decent vegetarian restaurant that you are looking out, then this Gallan has a suggestion to make. Try the ‘Brindhavan’ at Palarivattom. The food at this place is very very very yummy and worth the penny you spent. The ambiance is also quite appreciable. Both South and North Indian food is served. And the best part is their service. They have enough and more waiters ensuring that your needs will be catered to, in a very short time. And if its anything else for that you are looking, the Brindhavan will have it all.
This Gallan would give a rating of 7 out of 10 for this 10 year old much favoured veg restaurant, and was not at all disappointed when he visited the place even on the last day. More details follows…
Exact Location:
Located in the ground floor of the Kalavath Tower, building opposite to the newly opened JayBees Abhirami veg restaurant and the Lens & Frames opticals very near to Palarivattom junction, the Brindhavan is a bit difficult to be spotted from the main road. You need to get inside the building to reach its not-so-big entrance. The Kalavath Tower building is towards the left side of the road, when you travel from Palarivattom junction towards Kakkanad side. Nothing to worry again, anybody at the junction should be able to guide you.
Suggested for:
Nothing like that the place is meant for families. When this Gallan went there (alone
), he noticed that majority of the crowd were family groups. Then there were bunches of corporate gangs. Did also spot a very old couple occupying one of the corner tables, very much relaxed and away from rest of the crowd. And yea.. Here and there, there were a few couples too.
Its not a place specific to any particular kind of crowd. So don’t worry about taking your fiance for a date to Brindhavan. Its a super safe, super cool place to dine.
The ‘Must Try’ list:
It would be very much unfair to come up with such a list in case of Brindhavan. Couldn’t try every single offering, but could definitely make out that all the offerings are gonna be stunning like the ones this Gallan had.
But still, coming up with a ‘fav list’.. For you.
- Try and make a chance to drop into Brindhavan for lunch. Trust this Gallan, their lunch meals would be the best meals available in the city. Its an experience in itself. The normal meals costs Rs.41/-. There is also Brindhavan special meals, which is served in a very exquisite round plate, having chapathi and a few curries extra to the ones served with the normal meals. The special meal comes for Rs. 60/-. Fair enough.
- The ‘Puliodarai’ – a variety rice.
- Try the ‘VALSAN’ sweet (pic given at the end of article). Its kind of an ‘ ela ada’ (steamed sweet). Its a Brindhavan special again.
- North Indian delicacies like Aloo Paratha and Paneer Butter Masala.
- Its also a perfect place for an evening tea/coffee session. The snacks offered are too good as well.
