We call Kochi home, we call Kochi, the most electrifying place to be in the state, but do we really mean those words we boast about our place? Have we ever thought of contributing in some way to make our home place a better place? This is your chance!

The Fort Kochi beach has been listed on a number of lists among the top tourist destinations of the world, we have visitors from across the world coming to Fort Kochi every year, but the most embarrassing scene for any one is the Fort Kochi beach. The beach is seen littered with all kinds of garbageand not to mention the sea weeds.

This Saturday , September 10th 2011,  is the time  for waves and sands at the Fort Kochi beach. This is nothing but the coming together of people who wish to make the Fort Kochi beach clean! If you feel the need to make this place “God’s own country” , then do join the cause have fun with like minded people and walk away with that sense of achievement of giving something towards the very place we call home!

    Hi

I Visted kochi beach last week and was really saddened to see the extent of litter particularly in front of benches, despite litter bins being placed within arm’s reach. The corporation has done a lot in placing these large bins with sign posting to use them. I also read that recently a Frenchman campaigned to pick up litter himself and was joined by volunteers. But nothing has changed and the beach looks dirty again. What can be done to make visitors to kochi beach more responsible towards their beach and society? Happy to help in any way.
