The ‘Chemmeen’ restaurant with sea food delicacies

Now coming to the experiences that this Gallan and his fellow Gallans had. Very first sight of the big menu board placed just outside the entrance of the restaurant itself was a pleasant surprise for us. The items read different from the usually found varieties of sea food, that included ‘Rowdy Pathiri’, ‘Gate Ada’, ‘Chemmeen Pulao’ etc. We ordered for a set of ‘appam’ plus ‘pathiri’ and ‘kallummakkaya’ plus ‘chemmeen (prawns) fry’ to start with. We just had to wait for about 5 minutes to get our orders delivered after which, when we started eating, found that the food tasted as good as its aroma!!! Indeed a pleasant experience that made us to discuss about the time that we could visit the place for the second time. 
Asked about the specialties of those extra ordinary items in the menu to the person who introduced himself as the mobile menu for the restaurant and came to know that ‘Rowdy Pathiri’ was different from the normal ‘pathiri’ for the reason that it was made by mixing coconut milk instead of water. And ‘gate ada’, served only on Fridays (till evening), was more a north malabar snack that had either chicken, beef or fish kheema stuffed inside the snack (ada) and not the regular veg stuffing done with the otherwise known ‘ada’. The also have ‘disco sarbath’ and ‘Don perakka juice’ as the varieties in the beverages section. Nice, isn’t it?
Its been almost a year since the ‘Chemmen’ restaurant have started operations in Kochi and this is the only store operated by them till date. The ‘Chemmeen’ is open from 11 AM to 11 PM on all weekdays except on Sundays. They also have a door delivery service to reach out in a better way to their fans. Take a note of this : 0484 3192046.
