Goshree Islands all set to be beautiful

TweetShareThe District Collector, P.I Sheikh Pareed has given instructions to Goshree Island Development Authority (GIDA) to speed up the development activities in the Goshree Islands. The activities relate to providing the people with basic necessities- improving the roads, providing uninterrupted water supply, building homes and introducing ferry services. Areas under GIDA jurisdiction include the panchayats of Elamkunnappuzha, Njarakkal, Nayarambalam, Edavanakkad, Kuzhuppilly, Pallippuram, Kadamakkudy, and Mulavukadu as well as areas like Fort Vypeen, Gundu Island and Thanthonnithuruthu.

Bombay Stock Exchange to open branch in Kochi

TweetShareIndia’s oldest stock exchange, The Bombay Stock Exchange better known as BSE, is all set to open a branch in Kochi by early 2012. The decision was announced following Chief Minister Oomen Chandy’s recent visit to the BSE to ring the opening bell. This is an outcome of the discussions held between the Chief Minister and BSE officials including Chairman M S Ramadorai. The Broadway Heritage Conservation Project

TweetShareThe much awaited Broadway Heritage Conservation Project of the Kochi Corporation is all set to get underway with the authorities’ decision to begin the initial work by January 2012. The initial stage covers the development of the road connecting Broadway with the Banarjee road and also the construction of a parking facility near the KTDC building complex meant for parking the vehicles brought into Broadway. Cooperative Medical College to run Bus Service for Patients
